1. Ps1 Games On Psp

As far as i know,every downloaded PSX game has a 'KEYS.BIN' file. Different PSP,different KEYS.BIN. Can we hack this file for the PSP3000 players?

Hey everybody, I just purchased a new PSP-3000 to use for emulation. It is version 6.60 out of the box. I installed Pro CFW C2 last night, as far as I know, with no hitches. However, I am having issues running PS1 Eboots. I at first used PSX2PSP to convert some PS1 games to eboots (I did Alundra, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and Final Fantasy VII).

All of the games when I tried to run them off my PSP just went to a black screen, no PS1 logo or anything, and the system froze. I managed to get a Tobal 2 eboot which worked perfectly when run off the CFW, but I did not convert that file. I only played for about 5 minutes, one or two fights, but it seemed to work fine.

I was reading about some games needing Popsloader to run, so I installed Popsloader V3 for 6.60. I tried running FFVII again, held R before the game started, got the Popsloader screen to come up and tried different versions (3.50, 3.71, 3.72), but still I got a black screen. I then tried using Popstation and Icetea to convert the files and got the same issue - just a black screen with system freeze. All of the above games work on ePSXe. Am I missing something? I haven't tried running anything else like emulators off the CFW, but like I said, Tobal 2 seems to work fine, so I don't think I'm having an issue with the CFW.

Is something going awry in the conversion process? Is it possible that I have some bad copies of the games that causes them to not work on PSP (despite working on ePSXe)?

Here's Pro-C2 with the PSX fix: That said, with POPSLoader, your build shouldn't being having problems. Did you try doing another fresh install (use Chronoswitch to install a fresh copy of OFW 6.60 then install whichever CFW you prefer)? It seems odd that it would have problems with that many different games. What compression level are you using DATA.PSP or KEYS.BIN for the conversion?

If you're using KEYS.BIN, are you sure it's clean? Are you running any plugins? Sorry for the questions, just trying to get to the root of the problem.

Hi guys newbie here Downloaded spiderman 2 off bit torrent but the file is eboot.pbp now ive had a little lookie at this and apparently im meant to put this in the PSP/game folder on the psp. Ive done this and can see the game title on the memory card but when i click on it it starts to load up and then i get an error message. Im currently running the Darkalex homebrew software 3.40oe-a so i thought it would be possible. Any ideas where im going wrong or if i need to do anything else? All help much appreciated cheers guys James. I dont think your aloud to say where you got your torrents from. Spiderman 2???

Is that a ps1 backup game??? i dont think so or just a spiderman 2 iso FOR PSP. If its a ps1 backup. And you extracted the file. Got a folder.

And it already had an eboot. All you go is make a folder in GAME. And then put the eboot in the folder you made. If you didnt get a keys.bin file. You need dr.pop or popstation.gui to get the eboot and keys file.

You toss both files into your created folder. If it was originall made for psp.

Only isos or zip files can go into ISO folder to play. ALSO, if you got everything to work and you still get an error. Its either because you got a certain custom theme or themes thats disabling you from playing ps1 backups. Orrr your recovery settings arent right. If worst comes to worst.

Take it up to 3.52 m33. And EVERYTHING will be fresh and ready to go. I do reccommend upgrading to M33, as you will have a better shot of getting it to work as not all PSXPSP games work on all FW's. The emulator behave differently to each new FW update.

Now I'm not saying it will not work but if you upgrade to M33 3.52-2 you can then choose between three different FW's. (3.40, 3.51, and 3.52) This will make just about any PSXPSP game work by testing the different FW's. I haven't had one I couldn't get to run yet. I posted here in another topic as how to install the POS loader plugin's give that a shot if you get lost. Oh yea BTW it is a PSX game it is called Spiderman 2: enter Electro. And as for the game the eboot in this folder x SP/GAME/Spiderman2/EBOOT.PBP You won't need the keys.bin as I have over 50 PSXPSP games and not one keys.bin.
